When I worked at Fashion Bug (I still miss that store SO MUCH!!), one night a customer and her mother came in. Their BO was so awful, as soon as they went in the fitting rooms, my manager and I sprayed air freshener. Oh, it gets worse: they didn’t buy anything. After they left, the fitting room REEKED. Not only that, the clothing they’d tried on stank SO BAD we had to DAMAGE. THEM. OUT. My manager had me run up to the Walmart at the end of the shopping center to buy some of that scented baking soda stuff that you sprinkle on the carpet and then vacuum up. All because their BO was that bad.

A fake geek isnt about just having fake interests. Its about dumb obnoxious people bullying shy people at achool , calling or calling them wimpy losers , "ugly nice guys" or "ugly girls who cant get laid" who not no matter what gender you are. Even when you are not attracted to them. Thats how we nerds end up here in a group . And why are you so triggered about male nerds calling people fake geek girls , while ignoring the fact we dislike fake geeks in general? Do you think i have no problem.as a guy wirh fake geek boys douching around on me? Yes some fear some fake girls romantically OFC because we cannot engage with them because we often will get bullied by them . They laugh at your face, think you are creepy wimp and they act so neurotypical you cant even talk to them to rhe point. Not all fake nerds are bad , but some there is a good chance they will engage in bullying the nerds. You should be aware we are scared of people like you and i dont even want to you be excluded, i got always excluded by people like you when i started cosplaying! Already at the first glance. aaaah! the early ages of the "wokeness" mind virus! Yes, semantically there aren't "fake geeks" - on a practical level under a more grounded perspective, there are. I'll start by saying I was never a true geek, I was an "on-off" one at that, and even that's questionable. But I've always orbited around the sub-culture in one way or another my entire life. Contrary to most, I was also always attractive, socially savvy (arguably a genius in that regard), and extremely observant / analytical of all things, but specially concerning human behavior and psychology. As a full grown man today, it can't be clearer to me what this entire "controversy" actually was about, and that is: Proto-OF / or the preying of vulnerable men... The OG CNN article was never really wrong, factuality shows since the early 2000s that there were tons of "participants in all geek things" who were there only to exploit the geeks themselves - and that was never limited to "just women", that was done time and time again by all sorts of predators, mostly aiming for geek's $. The "fake geek glr" was, and still is, about either attention (women's currency for "pseudo-happiness" and "esteem remedy") or money (selling themselves to geeks) or both... The criticism was never really off, it was simply not as precise as it needed to be at the time, but that because the author was (and probably still is) exceptionally ignorant. The crusade against it, though, only really shows how he poked the wound, and if there was a wound to begin with, it is because it was true (which also means there's a significant chance that you, author of this video, was part of the problem). Reality's that geeks were always scorned by most women, on a Absolute, and to this day, they are never geeks, they just "study" for pulling their personal "marketing" and convince as many vulnerable geeks and nerds they possibly can that they are their "dream grl", their "waifu", only to than date some rndm dude outside the scene entirely, or who's the least "geeky and nerdy" as possible within it - that's because there's no affinity to be found there - a big old "travolta" meme only, yet the facade permanently being kept at all costs, to a point many of said women over the years actively censored any information about their personal relationships at all costs, ironcally meaning their "geek" side was actually the obssession with keeping the hustle going... I know this first hand considering most of these "supposedly geek women" would one night me every single time I'd show up in their "territory", yet they'd use the geeks as "slaves" and keep crushing them under their boots... I've met, dated and even had longterm partners with a few geek women - they hated these muppets with their souls, that because as with the geek men, they were all socially inept on one way or another, and their hotness could not make it into Playboy magazine, it was "out of the ordinary" which were defining traits of their insecurity and social ineptitude which eventually lead them to fixate into fantasies, as with geek men... Now that I've clarified the fallacies presented by you, and most of the women who spoke against it ages ago, I'll give a refresher and the source of all this absurdity: Feminism has been slowly working to destroy men's safe spaces polluting those with hustles and ways of exploiting vulnerable male humans for profit and for "female attention currency". It's not okay, and it goes against the principles of feminism itself, yet the movement, which accomodates tons of said narcissistic women (vocal members often), has never really addressed any of this unless to defend it's continuity. Call it what you will, but feminsm's roots are on equality, and these practices are about "empowerment", or, in a way, competing with male aholes by preying on as many vulnerables they can find...
